Beet
Many summer residents note that when planting these vegetables next to each other, the quality of the fruits of both increases. Therefore, it is often advised to combine such plantings. However, care must be taken to ensure that each crop has enough space at the same time (it is better to plant them not together, but next door).

Cucumbers, zucchini
Cucumbers, zucchini and other representatives of the flora with prickly stems, planted along the perimeter, protect cabbage beds from voracious slugs. These pests, when they come across sharp needles, usually prefer to retreat and look for another, more convenient place. It is important to plant them only around the beds, but not between the heads, since the wide leaves of these crops block the sun.
Potato
This is a good neighbor for cruciferous plants, but they should not be planted interspersed, but in neighboring beds. The fact is that the potato tops will cover the forks from the sun if you plant these crops too close to each other. If there is an urgent need to plant them together, then this can usually be done, but you need to choose one of two options for such a neighborhood. Either plant late cabbage, which will ripen for a long time after the potatoes are dug, or plant early varieties of white cabbage, and choose the potatoes that are harvested in mid-autumn.
Garlic and onion
Garlic will faithfully protect the heads from a number of insects. It has a good effect on both white cabbage and other varieties: cauliflower, broccoli, etc. However, the order of planting should be observed: first bulbous, and after them cruciferous. In addition, most likely, the garlic heads will not grow too large in this case.
But onions, which are often planted with garlic, may not survive life next to cabbage. He will not harm them and will even play the role of a repellent, but the conditions in which cruciferous plants grow are completely unsuitable for him, and his harvest will not work.
