How does the deficiency of elements manifest itself?
Tomatoes do not always have enough macro- and microelements introduced during the preparation of the soil mixture for planting. For various reasons, plants may be deficient in any elements. This can be determined by their appearance and condition. In the table we have collected the main signs of deficiency of various substances.

Methods of applying top dressing
Regardless of whether it is a planned top dressing or due to a shortage of any element, it can be applied in one of two ways.
Root
Nutrients are introduced into the soil mixture in the immediate vicinity of the root system. There are two ways to do this. Dry application assumes that granules or powder are evenly scattered over a moistened soil mixture, then loosened and embedded in the ground. The introduction of liquid top dressing differs in that a nutrient solution is first prepared. Then the plant is watered under the root, too, on a moistened soil.
Important. It is impossible to introduce drugs into dry land. This increases the risk of burning the roots and worsens the effect of the remedy. It is undesirable for the composition to get on the leaves or stems — this is dangerous by burning the leaf plate or shoot. A significant plus of root fertilizing is a prolonged effect. The drug gets into the root layer, from where the plant takes it for a long time. The disadvantage is the delayed onset of action. It will take some time for the product to penetrate the root processes.
