The universal formula of an anecdote. Does it exist?

What is the conclusion? Does the “universal formula work?” In my opinion, it gives us practically nothing new compared to the popular formula “setup” (installation, or eyeliner)-“punchline” (percussion, finishing), which itself is not so much a formula in the sense that it is commonly understood in more precise terms sciences, but rather a scheme of how to tell a joke, a description of the structure of the text. Of course, it allows you to organize a joke or an anecdote, but it is unlikely that you will be able to compose a new story based on it, if you did not know how to do this before you read the “universal formula”. (However, anyone can try to refute my possibly premature conclusion.)

So, the next “magic pill”, as it happens all the time, turned out to be nothing more than a fiction? But still, let’s not jump to conclusions too quickly.

After flipping through several pages of the book, I found more specific useful tips that list a variety of methods by which you can come up with jokes. Why are they not included in the formula? Most likely, because then the “magic equation” itself would have increased to the size of if not the entire text of the manual, then a good half of it (not counting appendices and links).

But this is, as they say, a completely different story.
